FormRobin Review: An AI Form Builder with a Big Catch
Okay, so in this post, I am going to do a FormRobin review. This is a new tool from the AppSumo team, you know, they also made SendFox and TidyCal. The main idea is very simple. FormRobin is an AI form builder. We all know the other tools, like Typeform. They are very, very expensive. They give you maybe 100 responses for $29 a month. That is insane. So FormRobin is here to fix that.
What is FormRobin?
Basically, FormRobin is a platform to build unlimited forms and surveys. But the magic part is the AI. What happens is, you do not have to drag and drop. You just, uh, write a prompt. Like “I need a contact form for my web design business.” And the AI will generate the full form for you. I am talking the title, the questions, all these things. It is very fast. I made a form in like 3 minutes. It is very good for lead generation, for surveys, or for client onboarding.
How is it useful?
The reason this is good is that it saves you so much time. You get a good start. And the best, best feature is the FormRobin lifetime deal. It gives you unlimited responses. This is the main thing. You do not have to worry about your form turning off in the middle of the month. This is, to be honest, a massive value.
Features
Here are the main features that I see:
- AI Form Generation: You just write a prompt and the AI builds the form.
- Unlimited Responses: This is the big one. No more monthly limits.
- Conditional Logic: You can show different questions based on, uh, what the user answers.
- Embed Anywhere: You get a link or a code to put on your website.
- Bot Protection: It has Google reCAPTCHA built-in, which is very good.
Conclusion
So, is FormRobin worth it? Okay, to be honest, this is a very tricky one. The tool is new, so it is “a little too basic.” It is not Typeform, you know, it does not show one question at a time. And many users said it is missing features, like you cannot add images to the form. And there is no Zapier yet, but they say it is coming.
But here is the biggest, biggest problem for me. The branding. The FormRobin logo, it is on your form. And it is “large and in your face.” You cannot remove it. For me, this looks very, uh, unprofessional to send to a client. This is a deal-breaker for many people, if you are just using it for a simple, internal survey, it is okay. But for a “serious business,” I do not think so. It is very cheap, yes. But you must be okay with that big logo. Remember this.
