The organiser is upfront that this is a work in progress, with a line on the page reading that this is a first look and more announcements are on the way. I take that at face value, and the workshop list backs it up: there is a full-day workshop on building LLM and RAG workflows in Python, so the RAG material exists, it just has not surfaced as conference sessions yet.

Still, it is the honest state of the programme as of September 9. If you are buying a ticket specifically for two days of advanced RAG or multimodal content, you are buying on the promise of a track name rather than on a schedule. If you are buying for MLOps, governance or agentic workflows, the sessions are there and they are named.

The venue works well for people flying in. 333 Adams St is in downtown Brooklyn, a few minutes from Jay St-MetroTech on the A, C, F and R lines. From JFK, that is the AirTrain to Howard Beach and then a straight run on the A with no trip through Manhattan. From LaGuardia it is the Q70 plus three subway changes, so take a car if you land at LGA in traffic.

What Is the Announced Programme Actually About?

Read the six highlighted sessions together and a clear centre of gravity appears. This is a conference for people who have to make AI work inside an organisation, not for people tuning models.

Four of those six are governance, leadership or organisational sessions. That is a defensible programme for late 2026, when the binding constraint on most enterprise AI work is approval rather than capability, but it is not what the name MLcon suggests to someone expecting model architecture content.

Set your expectations accordingly: this is closer to an applied enterprise AI conference than a machine learning conference in the research sense. The organiser advertises early-bird savings of up to $240 with no published cutoff date, framing the discounts as running until the conference starts on September 28. So there is no price deadline pushing you, and the real constraint is Brooklyn hotel availability three weeks out.

Given the programme as it stands, I would look hard at the bottom half of that table rather than the top. The 2-Day Pass at $1,349 buys the two conference days, which is the part that is fully scheduled. The 2-Day Bootcamp Pass at $1,439 buys the part that is unambiguously deep. The tiers in between are buying you optional days whose content is still being announced, and paying $810 more for a 3-Day Pass over a 2-Day Pass is a bet on sessions that have not been named.

Buy DevOpsCon instead if you are a platform engineer or SRE. Its programme is fuller, it includes the Platform Engineering Summit with every multi-day pass, and its AI sessions on agent security in Kubernetes and AI-driven incident response cover much of the operational ground MLcon does, with more of it already scheduled.

Buy iJS instead if you build the application layer, since its agent sessions are aimed at people writing the code that calls the model.

Then add the $250 upgrade whichever you pick.

Two honest caveats about MLcon specifically. The published audience breakdown of 42 percent operations and SRE, 33 percent developers, 11 percent architects and 14 percent leadership appears word for word on S&S Media’s other conference sites, so read it as a portfolio average rather than a description of the MLcon room. And the highlighted session count is smaller than either sibling conference, which at four weeks out is a real signal about how full this programme is right now.
