AI Events 2026
The most important AI events in 2026 span three distinct worlds: research conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR) where the next wave of AI capability is published; enterprise summits (Google Cloud Next, NVIDIA GTC, AI Summit San Francisco/London) where deployment patterns and infrastructure announcements happen; and networking-heavy events (Web Summit, VivaTech, SaaStr) where AI founders, operators, and investors meet. Most of the year-end "AI conference" lists confuse these three — this page treats them as separate decisions, because they are. Below: every upcoming AI event that is genuinely worth attending, with audience fit, pricing, dates, locations, and virtual-attendance options spelled out on each listing.
Choosing the Right AI Event in 2026
If your goal is technical depth or research awareness — NeurIPS (December), ICML (July), ICLR (May), and CVPR (June) remain the four anchors. Paper accept rates run 25-30% and many of the most-cited AI advances of 2025 originated as workshop papers here. Attend in-person if you can; livestreams cover the keynotes but miss the corridor conversations where collaborations form.
If your goal is enterprise AI implementation — NVIDIA GTC (March), Google Cloud Next (April), AWS re:Invent (December), and Microsoft Ignite (November) are the platform-vendor events where infrastructure, model partnerships, and enterprise SKUs are announced. AI Summit San Francisco and AI Summit London are the vendor-neutral equivalents. Free virtual passes cover most keynotes; the value of in-person is the workshop and hands-on lab access.
If your goal is product-building, fundraising, or operator networking — Web Summit (November, Lisbon), VivaTech (June, Paris), and SaaStr Annual (May/September) put AI founders in rooms with investors, growth operators, and potential design partners. Side events and after-parties typically deliver more value per hour than the main stage.
A note on virtual vs in-person. Keynote content is increasingly free and streamed — virtual registration covers it without a budget item. What you pay for in person is the unstructured time: between-session conversations, demo-floor stumbling, dinner adjacencies. For solo founders and senior IC research, that is usually worth the flight. For deeper technical sessions you plan to study in detail later, virtual often wins on time efficiency.

AI Events FAQ
Which AI conferences are worth attending in 2026?
It depends on what you need. For cutting-edge research: NeurIPS, ICML, and ICLR. For enterprise AI implementation: AI Summit San Francisco, AI Summit London, and Google Cloud Next. For networking and deal-making: Web Summit and VivaTech. For GPU and infrastructure: NVIDIA GTC and AWS re:Invent. Every event on this page is listed because it delivers genuine value for a specific audience.
Are there good free AI conferences or virtual options?
Yes. NVIDIA GTC offers free virtual registration that includes all keynotes and a substantial portion of sessions. Databricks Data + AI Summit has a free virtual pass covering keynotes and many sessions. Google Cloud Next streams keynotes for free. NeurIPS has experimented with virtual components.
How do I choose between research conferences and business AI events?
Research conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ICLR) are for people who want to understand what is technically possible at the frontier. Business AI events (AI Summit, Google Cloud Next, VivaTech) focus on how to deploy AI today in real organisations. If your job is to build or implement AI, you need both.
Is it worth attending AI conferences in person vs virtually?
Virtual is better than nothing for keynotes and sessions, but in-person has a different value proposition entirely: the conversations between sessions, the demos you stumble across, the dinners and side events. The researchers and practitioners who shape the field are easier to reach in person than through any other channel.
How can I submit an AI event to be listed on this page?
Use the Contact page to suggest an event. We review submissions based on relevance to the ZPlatform audience (AI practitioners, entrepreneurs, and business leaders), event quality, and credibility. We do not accept paid event listings - every event on this page is listed on merit.
