Big Data Conference Europe 2026

TL;DR: Big Data Conference Europe 2026 runs November 24-27, 2026 in Vilnius, Lithuania, in a hybrid format. The 10th edition packs 90-plus talks across six tracks, seven workshops on November 24, and 700-plus attendees from 35-plus countries. One ticket also opens the co-located AI Summit Europe 2026 at the same venue. Regular passes sit at €1,000 for the 3-day conference through September 17 (checked 2026-08-24, bigdataconference.eu/tickets-payment/), all prices excluding VAT.

I track data and AI events because the patterns that show up on these stages, LLMs in production, vector stores, real-time streaming, land in the AI tools I test a few months later. Big Data Conference Europe is one of the older data-engineering events in the region. Ten editions in, it sits exactly where classic pipelines meet applied AI, which is why it earned a slot in my event calendar.

Big Data Conference Europe 2026 runs four days on two Vilnius venues

Big Data Conference Europe 2026 splits across two venues over four days. The workshop day is November 24 at Simbiocity Nova, onsite only. The main conference is November 25-27 at Forum Cinemas Vingis, with an online track for remote attendees.

The cinema venue is not a gimmick. Talks run on giant screens with theatre sound, so a lakehouse architecture diagram reads well from the back row instead of squinting at a hotel projector. The organizers slot in an exclusive movie screening that uses the room for what it is good at.

Vilnius is an underrated pick. Compact old town, direct flights from most major European hubs, hotel and food costs well below London or Amsterdam. For an event of this size, the total travel bill lands 30 to 40% lower than the equivalent trip to a Western European capital, which matters when the ticket is already four figures.

The 2026 program leans harder into AI than any previous edition

I checked the six-track lineup against the 2024 and 2025 archives. The center of gravity shifted. This is now as much an applied-AI event as a data-engineering one, which is why the AI Summit Europe co-location makes sense as a package.

The six 2026 tracks (checked 2026-08-24, bigdataconference.eu):

TrackWhat it actually covers
Generative AI and LLMsRAG in production, LLM cost control, agent memory
MLOps and DataOpsModel governance, drift, LLMOps
Streaming and event-drivenApache Fluss, Kafka, real-time analytics
Cloud-native data engineeringLakehouse patterns, Iceberg, Delta
Data governanceAI Act, GDPR, vector store security
BI and visualizationAnalytics for LLM-augmented decision making

Confirmed sessions so far include Andrew Madson on Iceberg for agents and Alex Campos on Apache Fluss for streaming architectures. Lineups shift; check the live agenda before booking specifically for a name.

Past-edition speaker orgs from the official testimonials page include AWS, Databricks, Fivetran, Zalando, GetYourGuide, ClickHouse, ScyllaDB, and Dell Technologies. The pattern is working practitioners, not celebrity keynotes.

Big Data Conference Europe 2026 ticket pricing (Regular stage, live through September 17)

Every price below excludes VAT and was pulled from the official tickets page on 2026-08-24. The Regular stage (25% off full) is live now.

PassRegular priceFull priceCovers
1-day workshop (Nov 24)€500€680Workshop day, conference access, recordings, certificate

Hotel bundles with breakfast start at €1,540 for the 3-day onsite plus 3 nights, and €2,000 for the 4-day full plus 4 nights. Every pass carries session recordings and a 15% discount on the 2027 conference.

The bigger deal: your ticket covers AI Summit Europe 2026 at the same venue on the same dates. Two content programs, one badge. If your work spans data engineering and applied AI, that is genuine value, not a marketing line.

The rising price stages punish waiting

Pricing climbs through seven timed stages. Each ends at 4 PM GMT+3 and the discount shrinks with every flip.

StageEndsDiscount
Blind BirdMarch 550% off
Super Early BirdApril 1640% off
Early BirdJune 430% off
RegularSeptember 1725% off
Late BirdOctober 1520% off
Last MinuteNovember 1210% off
FinalNovember 23No discount

You are in the Regular window until September 17, 2026. There is no upside to waiting. The price only rises. This is the same logic I apply to lifetime software deals: the discount is only real if you act while it is open.

The SUMMER15 promo that ran earlier this year expired. I could not find a public code live on the tickets page when I checked on 2026-08-24. AI Summit Europe was running one at that point, so check both tickets pages before you buy.

Who this event is actually for

Big Data Conference Europe 2026 is built for people who own data and AI systems inside a real engineering org. Data engineers get the pipelines and streaming content. ML engineers and data scientists get the LLMOps and generative-AI tracks. Data architects get the lakehouse and cloud-native sessions. Engineering leads and CTOs get the governance and platform-evolution content that connects data work to business impact.

Skip it if you want a free beginner intro to data science. This is a paid professional event, and if you are early-career, the money goes further on focused courses and the budget AI tools I recommend before you commit to a multi-day trip.

I also skip it if I cannot name a specific outcome before the trip. Walk in with target workshops, three conversations you want to have, and a follow-up plan. Walk in hoping to “see what is new in data” and you spend €2,000 to feel busy.

Can you speak at Big Data Conference Europe 2026?

The call for speakers for 2026 is open. Talks, workshops, and panels are all in scope. If you shipped something specific in data engineering, LLMs, MLOps, or applied AI, submit through the speaker sign-up form linked from the official site.

Honest word: the CFP window closes well before November, and a vague “I do data” pitch gets ignored. Lead with a specific number you moved, a problem you solved, or a system you built. This program deliberately skips the sales pitches. That works to your advantage if you actually did the work.

My take on the 4-day full ticket

For most practitioners, the 4-day full ticket is the version that earns its price. The workshop day is the highest-value, most hands-on part of the program. Add flights, three Vilnius nights, and meals, and a single onsite attendee is looking at €2,000 to €3,000 all in. One streaming pattern that cuts your data latency, one MLOps practice you adopt to stop models drifting, or one lakehouse decision you copy from a working team pays for the trip.

If travel does not make sense this year, the €1,000 online pass plus the recordings is a reasonable middle path. You lose the hallway conversations, which is half the point of an onsite event, but you keep the content and the AI Summit Europe access.

Buy before September 17. That is the last day of the Regular stage. After that, every day costs more.
