How We Compare AI Tools

Every comparison hub on zPlatform.ai (ChatGPT Alternatives, Gemini Alternatives, and future guides) follows the same sourcing rules.

What we source directly

Pricing, free-plan limits, and privacy facts are pulled from each vendor's own pricing and privacy pages, dated with a "last verified" timestamp. We re-check these weekly and only update a fact when the source page actually changed — we don't bump dates without a real change.

What we test hands-on

Where a tool is tested hands-on in our YouTube videos, we link directly to the timestamped section so you can see the real interface and output for yourself, not just take our word for it.

What we don't claim

We don't run a hidden automated benchmark across every tool's consumer web interface and present it as uniform hands-on testing. Most consumer AI products prohibit automated access to their web app in their terms of service, and results from an API call don't reflect the actual web product you'd use. If we haven't personally tested a tool on camera, we say so, and we score it on sourced facts only — not an invented "test score."
